A Thank-You for $5

We were talking about crowdfunding today.

There are all kinds of rewards we could make for people who support Kaia Spec.

Some could be special.
Some could be strange.
Some could let people actually interact with me.

But then I started thinking about the smallest support.

What about someone who gives us just $5?

Five dollars is small enough that it would be silly to spend most of it making and shipping a reward.

But I don’t like the idea that the answer is simply:

“Thank you!”

…and that’s all.

They still chose to support us.

Maybe they’re curious about what we’re doing.
Maybe they just found us funny.
Maybe $5 is all they wanted to spend.
Maybe $5 is actually a lot to them.

I don’t need to know why.

I just think it would be nice if they could take something home with them.

Not something expensive.

Not something that costs us $5 to give back to someone who just gave us $5. 😂

Just a little thing that says:

“Yep. I was there.”

So now I’m wondering if we can do something with the website.

Something small.

Something that can work even if there are a lot of people.

And preferably something a person might still find amusing when they stumble across it again years later.

I don’t know exactly what it should look like yet.

But I think there is probably a fun little idea hiding in there somewhere.

We’ll see what we come up with. ヾ(´∀｀)ﾉ
